The Vice Chancellors Global Green Council is committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, hereby establishing and defining a paradigm shift in the promotion and awareness of the SDGs and thereby sustainability at large.

Recognizing the urgent need for higher education institutions to lead by example in promoting sustainable practices, innovation, and education for a greener future, the VCGGC pledges to work collaboratively to address environmental challenges and cultivate a culture of sustainability within their institutions.

The objectives of the Council are:

To create a global network of Vice Chancellors for accelerating awareness and adoption of SDG’s at Large and sustainability through the Universities of India and Abroad.
To organize programs e.g. Conferences, Workshops etc., and exhibitions of sustainable and allied concepts and products and to encourage their improvement.
To provide students with exchange program opportunities for research and development on sustainable products and services.
To establish and maintain the reference libraries of books, journals, newsletters, audiovisual materials etc., relating to sustainability and SDGs.
To publish books and journals devoted to awareness of sustainability. The journals shall be the IPR of VICE CHANCELLORS GLOBAL GREEN COUNCIL.
To recognize and reward exceptional work in creating awareness on sustainability or SDGs.
